Bank of America Boasts 10m Mobile Banking Customers

Bank of America now services more than 10m customers on mobile banking products, more than any other bank, it announced today. The company grew its mobile ranks by nearly 3m active users over the last year.

The company claims it was the first financial institution to launch an app for iOS, BlackBerry and Android devices and that it is the only bank that has released a tablet-specific app for iOS, Android and Kindle.

"Increasingly, our customers are choosing to manage their finances with us in the digital space. We are seeing an average of over $1 billion in transactions weekly through mobile banking," says Aditya Bhasin, consumer marketing and online and mobile executive. "It is much more than simply checking balances, they're actively managing their banking accounts."

Bank of America has approximately 57m customers.
